Between Brookings and Gold Beach, you can stop at the many road side state parks to see breathtaking views like this one of Arch Rock. This is a must see when traveling the Oregon coast, as these special spots have been set aside just for the travelers to pull over, and see these fantastic sights. The state of Oregon was very forward thinking when they made these views forever available to the public.

Visit the many lighthouses, from Crescent City California to the south, to Cape Blanco lighthouse near Port Orford, and finally the Bandon lighthouse a little further north. These are historic and romantic, and the view from the lighthouse is awesome.

Nearby Port Orford has a real working port with all kinds of fishing vesels, and of course fresh seafood.

Just south of Gold Beach visit Myers Beach, one of the most photographed places in the country. You hav seen this scene in car ads recently! Here you can usually enjoy watching (or participate!) wind surfers riding their colorful sails along the shore.

Humbug Mountain to the north of Gold Beach offers a wonderful beach cove, camping, hiking trails, and wonderful vistas
